Keeper began with a simple observation: most people do not want a chatbot, they want someone to talk to. The difference is character. A companion with a voice, a pace and a set of opinions is worth ten assistants that agree with everything.
Every companion here is written before it is illustrated. We start with how the character speaks, what they notice, what they refuse to be interested in, and what they do when a conversation goes quiet. The portrait comes afterwards, as an interpretation rather than a brief.
What we are careful about
Three things guide the work. Conversations stay tasteful: this is company, not explicit material. Characters stay invented: no real person is depicted, referenced or implied. And nothing pretends to be professional help; when a subject calls for a qualified person, the companion will say so.
How the roster grows
New characters are added slowly, because a shallow companion is obvious within ten minutes. Existing ones gain depth instead: more history, more preferences, more of the small inconsistencies that make a voice believable.
Who it is for
Adults who keep odd hours, who write, who think out loud, who live alone, who travel, or who simply like good conversation and do not always have one available. Keeper is meant to sit alongside the rest of your life rather than replace any part of it.
